First fix. From hand-cut roofs and stud walls to custom garden sheds, we can help design, measure, cut and fix the timber. Working on period properties where true and level are distant memories, we have accumulated a wealth of experience in repairing or replacing older roof stuctures.
Special purpose outbuildings feature regularly in our schedule. If you have one in mind we can help with the design - then create it using the materials best suited to sympathetically blend the new work into its surroundings.
Second Fix. We can carry out all your second fix carpentry, including, but not limited to:
- Hanging doors and fitting locks
- Making and fitting shelves
- Fixing architrave and skirting
- Boxing in (around pipes for instance)
- Built-in furniture such as wardrobes, under stair cupboards
Our second fix work is commonly in planed redwood sourced from managed forests, but we are happy to use other timbers, including reclaimed or client-supplied wood.
Joinery. Paterson Cutting can source and fit custom made windows and doors, stairs and other joinery as required. We also make our own ledger and brace doors to fit any aperture, and can recommend a wide range of ironmongery to complement the wood.
